The Love Weston trail consists of ten caches and has been set up to encourage people to explore the town centre of Weston-Super-Mare and discover what the town has to offer.
Weston is a seaside resort in North Somerset. Until the 1850’s the town was a fishing village until trains began to arrive. After this, it began its transformation into a Victorian seaside resort. The town had its own pier, which was originally used to take people out to the steamers which arrived to take people to various places including Cardiff. When built it was a third of a mile longer to reach deeper water. It has its own Royal Crescent, which is set back from the seafront behind the Melrose carpark. Please enjoy your walk through the town, remember to look up. Many of the older buildings in the High Street have modern ground floor frontage, but the old buildings are still showing above. One nice building is above No 42 which was the old library. You can see the Royal Crescent from the cache location.
