KFC - Kid Friendly Caches. I have young children who enjoy geocaching so I decided to start the KFC series for my littlest cachers. They will also have lots of cool SWAG because, as my wife says, toddlers are hoarders and love little trinkets. Feel free to add to the series!
This cache takes its name from a fun little fairy tail. It is a story by Hans Christian Anderson about an ugly duckling who matures into a beautiful swan! This cache may not be pretty, but it has some fun swag!
This cache is located along the Linear Trail in Erwin. There is parking near this one and it is a great spot to stop and view some wildlife. There is also a neat bridge nearby and you could go fishing. Sounds like a perfect day of caching with kids!
You can seek this cache day or night. There are lights along the trail.
Please park in designated parking areas along the trail.
You will need to step off the trail to find this one, but it's not hard to get to.
