This is a segment of spray-painted PVC pipe, containing log slip and pencil, hidden (where else) "in Nature" along the "trail" which has replaced the wonderful riparian open canal of yesteryear. Due to the "influence" of a few "locals," this segment of the accompanying "creek" has been heavily endowed with "natural features." "Smokeless" is "involved with" one of these "features."
Now defunct "Smokin," was placed to celebrate not only this new trail, but the impressive energy of many of those who now utilize it ... along with the acknowledgement of the nearby sign forbidding such unhealthy (smoking, certainly not exercising!) activity on this City maintained property. We continue to celebrate all of those worthy endeavors.
But "Smokeless" adds another" dimension to the theme: Many of the nearby "features" ... including our "host" ... had their origins in very hot (and probably quite smokey) circumstances ... but seem now to be completely "Smokeless."
When you've discovered this little fellow and signed the log, please replace "him" in a meticulous fashion. Thanks!
