There is so much to explore on this peninsula. Although you could just grab and dash for this cache, why not take an hour or two to see it all. This panel will give you interesting information about how the peninsula was shaped by ice and sea, and about the first people who lived on Ardmore.

Can you find the cave where “hunter gatherers” from the Mesolithic period (about 5000 years ago) lived?
Fish Yairs have been used here since the medieval times. 6 yairs were recorded in the Ardmore area in the 18th century. The panel will tell you where to find a disused “Fish Yair”.
Birdwatching: maybe you can spot a Grey Heron, Curlew, Lapwing or Oystercatcher?
