Bang your head against any tree and I’m sure you’ll agree that they’re all hard. Yet we divide trees into two categories; hardwood and softwood. In general, hardwood comes from a deciduous tree which loses its leaves annually and softwood comes from a conifer, which usually remains evergreen. Hardwoods tend to be slower growing than softwoods, and are therefore usually more dense. That’s not to say hardwoods are stupid. This cache is made of wood. If you can’t open it you may look a little dense. Banging your head on it will make you look even denser. If you never do get it open the oaks on you. On private property with owner's permission
