On this date in the year 1325, Ibn Battuta began his legendary travels, leaving his home in Tangiers to travel to Mecca. As fellow adventurers and seekers of mystery, we dedicate this Flash Mob to him!
To meet the longer time requirements from geocaching.com and the shorter WWFM XII time requirements this event will take place in two parts.
Part One - The Journey: To qualify for prizes, you must report to the beautiful dome in the Persian Court here and find the table with the geocaching logo on it by 7:30pm. At precisely 7:30pm, envelopes will be distributed and set you upon a journey of your own. The instructions contained within you must follow to the letter. The first cacher or caching team to report to the last station with all of the requirements entirely met will win the grand prize.
You may play in small teams, but one prize per team is the rule. You will not need your GPS to complete the requirements.
Part Two - The Flash Mob: If you cannot make the 7:30pm time, you are welcome to come at 9:00pm to the Elephant Clock for the group picture which will be taken at exactly 9:10pm. Not all who wander are lost but if you're still wandering at 9:10pm, you will be left out.
You will need to bring a map - any map - with you. At 9:00pm, you need to be in the India Court (where the Elephant Clock is) with your map and wander around looking at it as if you are trying to figure out where to go. Feel free to bring binoculars, astrolabes or any other navigation items as props but at minimum, the map. At 9:10pm, you need to have wandered over to the front of the Elephant Clock for a group picture. The Flash Mob offically ends worldwide at 9:15pm our time.
