Geocache Description:

Cache IS NOT at the posted coordinates (although it's a GREAT place to start)

This cache has been placed for the CCARS15 event, held April 25-26, 2015. It should not be found prior to 10:00am on Saturday 25th April, 2015. Caches for the CCARS15 event are published early so the geocaching community can plan their search routes before the event starts.

Once upon a time there was a girl named Theodorah Bromine (but everyone called her Theo for short) who lived in a town called Reeseville. What made Reeseville different than other towns was that all of the roads, trees, flowers and even the buildings were made out of chocolate.

Now, you may be thinking to yourself that this sounds like the perfect place to live, and for most of us it would be. However, Theo isn’t the same as most of us because, you see, Theo didn’t like chocolate! To her it tasted like broccoli!

On most days after school, when her friends were playing on the chocolate swings or kicking around the chocolate soccer ball, Theo could be found walking through the chocolate forest, looking under chocolate rocks or staring at her chocolate iPhone while walking around in circles sighing. No, she wasn’t sick nor was she bad at soccer, you see, Theo was a Geocacher. In fact, she was such a good Geocacher that just yesterday she had finally found the last unfound cache hidden in Reeseville, a tricky mystery cache hidden by KinderSurprise.

Just when it looked like Theo’s streak of 98 days finding a cache was going to come to an end, a new cache was published, what luck! The cache was far into the woods in a different direction than Theo usually went, but the lure of keeping her streak alive (and maybe getting a First-To-Find) was strong. So she decided to take her dogs Gio and Cash for a walk and set out.

As Theo set out in the general direction she came to a pathway, however her chocolate iPhone pointed in a slightly different direction. Theo had a decision to make, does she follow the path or does she go "crow-caching" and walk in a straight line? Luckily Theo was experienced enough to know that 99% of the time following the pathway will give you the best result, so that's what she did. She set out along the pathway and stopped on occasion to check and get her bearings. After climbing over many fallen trees, crossing two streams and getting briefly stuck in a raspberry patch, Theo, Gio and Cash arrived at a crossroads and a sign which read “Welcome to Bridgetown”.

Theo had heard of Bridgetown before but had never visited. Bridgetown was not very different from Reeseville except for one very interesting fact. Instead of chocolate, they used peanut butter for everything. Creamy peanut butter flowed from their water fountains, chunky peanut butter was used to pave their roads and there was even a local factory that made peanut butter brittle roof tiles so that all the residents would be warm and dry at night.

Now Theo was extra excited because the only thing she liked more than geocaching was peanut butter. Unfortunately she was rarely allowed to eat any because her little cousin Anna Falactic, who lived with her, would get very sick from it. So Theo only got to eat peanut butter on special occasions.

Theo quickly checked her chocolate iPhone and saw that she was getting closer to the cache and found she was heading in the direction of Main Street in Bridgetown. Setting out at a trot she headed towards ground zero stopping twice to make sure she was still on the right path. The numbers kept getting smaller and soon her chocolate iPhone was reading 20m. That is when she stopped and decided to uses her geosenses and soon spied what could only be the Geocache.

It was beautiful and filled her with wonder. She approached slowly as she examined it. It didn't seem to be alive but it looked like it could have been at one point. Theo noticed that one of it's hands was open and seemed to be beckoning to her. Tentatively she reached out and shook the hand and a feeling of peace and of being protected came over her. A bright smiled lit up her face and a giggle escaped her lips as she realized her streak was intact and she was going to earn a coveted sticker. Gio and Cash were wagging their tails and seemed to be smiling as well, in their own doggie ways. She still wasn't sure exactly what it was, but she did know that she wanted to share it with others.

After she signed the logbook, Theo he headed home with her dogs/ On the way back she drew a map with waypoints so that she could find her way again, and so that she could help others could as well. She wanted to be sure that only geocachers would be able to use her map so she put it in a code that only someone with the right mindset and tools would be able to figure out. Her task done she hurried home. She was so excited to get home and log her find that she even forgot to stop at the local store for a peanut butter shake! Theo couldn't wait for tomorrow to begin another adventure.

Can you crack Theo's code and make your own discovery?

This cache is entered in the "Peanut Butter Jar" category.
