Welcome to the Ebenezer Geo-Quest!

The purpose of the Ebenezer Geo-Quest (or EG-Q) is to show you some of the sights, history and scenery of this secluded part of the Hawkesbury.

This is one in a series of EG-Q caches; hope you enjoy the rural setting.

You are now at the end of the road…about one kilometre further down this road on private property is Portland Head Farm.

Originally owned by Andrew Johnston (a Coromandel settler) in 1804, Johnston expanded his land holdings in 1811. He named his property New Berwick after his birthplace, but it soon became known as Portland Head Farm, remaining in the family until the late 1950s. In the mid-1980s the property was known as Koromandel. It is believed that the same stone masons that built Ebenezer Church also built the two-storied farmhouse on this property.
