Welcome to the 4th Annual YoGO Paddle Picnic!

We will start off the day playing in the water. We will be paddling in Lake Wylie (flat water, no current or rapids) and then enjoying a picnic lunch. If you have never paddled before, this is a great place to learn. There will be lots of kayaks around and maybe even a few canoes. If you own a kayak or canoe, bring it! If you own a power boat and want to bring it, there is a paved boat launch here too. This is a very casual event with no long, formal paddle trip involved. If you want to paddle out 50 feet and come back, great. If you want to go across the lake, that is great too. Or if you want to sit on shore and just enjoy the day, that is great. Everything is great!!

Starting at 12noon (or whenever everyone gets hungry), we will have a picnic. For the picnic portion of the day please bring an item to share with the group. Susan and I will be bringing hot dog stuff (hot dogs, buns, ketchup, mustard, relish) as well as paper plates, cups and napkins. Bring whatever items you would like. Please post in the logs what you will bring so we don't have 50 bags of chips but no drinks.

We have a picnic shelter reserved. Look for the YoGO banner on Shelter #5 once you get there. There is a nice playground for kids. Fishing is allowed with a valid SC fishing license but no fishing within 50 feet of the boat ramps or from the boat docks. Pets are allowed if on a leash. There is a restroom on site as well.

If you have a folding chair, beach chair, etc., bring that too.

Come out and join us for the fourth Paddle Picnic!

And if that isn't enough to tempt you, here are a few pics from previous Paddle Picnic events.
