To find and open the cache you will need a key. The container is a locked ammo can and should resist all attempts to open without opening the lock first. Opening the cache without a key would certainly require extreme destructive force. Finding the cache is not enough to log the find. You will need to open the cache and sign the log to claim the find. Loggers who haven't signed in will have their logs deleted.
At the time of publishing, two keys were released into the wild. One at a local event, one in my favourite mlord cache. Figuring out how to find where the keys currently are should be fairly easy. More keys will be made available as required.
Once you have a key, the information on the key ring will provide instructions on how to find the cache.
After you have found the cache, please drop the key in a cache in the Ottawa area. Please also be quick in updating the location of the key when picking up and dropping off so that future hunters will not waste time going to retrieve one.
Have fun and good luck. I hope you enjoy the hunt that had eluded me.
The expanded Ottawa Geomob FTF'd the cache with the event key and got an assortment of my usual FTF refreshments.
Xira retrieved the second key from SaddleUp! and STF'd the cache.
Both keys are now in circulation, have fun tracking them down.
JAN 2017 NOTE: A third key has been released as it appears that the first two keys are missing
MAY 2018 NOTE: Key 1 back alive, key 2 missing, key 3 ...??? not sure yet, key 4 being released
OCT 2022 NOTE: After a COVID break, all keys have been re-created and are available
PLEASE ENSURE YOU ATTACH THE CABLE TO THE LOCK WHEN YOU ARE DONE SO IT DOESN'T DISAPPEAR AGAIN, THX.
