Geocache Description:

Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other cache-friendly places. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources!

EARTHDAY WEEKEND - SUNDAY, APRIL 26th - 1PM TO 3PM.

Come out for the third annual event and help clean up Ken Forde Park and the beach nearby. Not only will you get the satisfaction of helping to clean up the environment, you will also get a CITO icon on your souvenirs page.

There is parking in the parking lot as well as along the road next to the park. There are public restrooms at the north end of the parking lot.

I will have a logbook to sign and garbage bags will be available at the picnic table closest to the covered area.  If it is raining we will meet in the covered area. Please bring your own gloves and garbage collecting tools if you have any. There is a water fountain near the washrooms, but you might want to bring along your own drinking water, especially if it is a sunny day.

The targeted area will be from the Willow Creek Estuary at the north end to Dahl Road at the south end (or further if people want to keep going), and from the road to the high tide mark. The garbage bags will be brought back to the parking area and left next to the garbage can.

There are a couple of geocaches along the Seawalk. If you haven't done them already, this would be a good chance. Of course, there are many more caches available in the area as well.

Hope to see you there!
