Geocache Description:

A short distance along the original road leading to the Old Kirby town cemetery.  If you want to go to the cache in the old cemetery, drive on down this road. this is a good sized bucket cache with some really good swag. You may need a tool to pry the lid off if you don't have fingernails.

This narrow road leads to the front of the Old Town Kirby cemetery, long forgotten and forlorn in a patch of woods on the south side of the Kirby Cemetery (or Peaceful Rest as it has been known). The Kirby cemetery is a black cemetery but it is presumed that this neglected part was where white employees of Kirby lumber, and their family members, were buried. Be sure to go on in after you find this cache and visit. Wander back into the woods if you want to see even more graves with stones askew, and toppled by the trees that have taken over. This cemetery is in the process of restoration and if you feel like contributing to the effort, there's a sign by the gate that tells you how to volunteer.
