Birds Traditional Cache

This geocache is located at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. There is an admission fee for the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. Reserving timed tickets is recommended prior to your visit. Admission tickets are also available at the Welcome Desk upon arrival. ABOUT THIS GEOCACHE:
Entrance to the parking lot is located on Pinkerton Run Road at N 40° 25.006’, W 080° 10.184’.

As you walk the trail through the Dogwood Meadow you will notice several bird houses and bird feeders for the many different song birds that inhabit the Woodlands. There is also a rather large bird nest located in the Woodlands at N 40° 25.128’, W 080° 10.398’. Although we have never seen this bird, its large eggs are still in the nest and worth checking out. The posted coordinates will bring you to a different location where this bird may live although we doubt that this is the case.

Please use the established trails to find this geocache. The geocache is hidden within a few feet of the trail, no bushwhacking required.
