An almost-forgotten little pagoda, built in 1953 as part of the Po Lin Mastery.


Wah-Yen Pagoda

A symbol of Wah-Yen Great Teaching of Lord Shekiamuni Buddha to enable all beings to achive Tathangata's greatest wisdom.

Erected by Bicchu Sik Fa-Ho

Dated the anniversary day of enlightenment of Lord Buddha, the eight day of the last moon in the hear of Kwi-Chi (12th January 1954)

The cache

Hidden near this pagoda, a small container kindly donated by fellow geocacher Wanrex. Access to the pagoda is via a mostly overgrown path, the start of which is a mud trail up the slope, then it follows the original steps. Refer to OSM to easily find this trail.

Please re-hide carefully. The container has space for medium sized trackables and other trade items.
