The cache is a black painted mint tin amongst a group of four slim peppercorn trees near "Mackillop Catholic College"
MacKillop Catholic College grew from a strong desire in the local parish and community for a Catholic co-educational secondary school within this region. Commencing in 1994 with 78 Year 8 students, the College introduced a fourth stream in 1998 and now has nearly 600 students in Years 8 to 12 drawn from Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Cowaramup, Nannup, Augusta, Capel and Yallingup.
The College was named after Australia’s first saint, Mary MacKillop, who was a key figure for Catholic Education in regional Australia. She founded the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart in 1866, who took over Catholic Education in Busselton in 1922 after the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions had established a Catholic school in the region in 1903.
