Geocache Description:


This is another of my challenge caches. This one is the West 81 Challenge. With a challenge, that means there are certain requirements before logging this one. How do you qualify for this one? Keep reading!

In order to qualify for the challenge you must:
  1. Have found at least one cache in each minute of the West 81 degrees longitude. There are 60 minutes for the 81 degree longitude; starting at 00 and ending at 59. That means your qualifying list will contain 60 caches.
  2. Only physical caches count. That means only Traditional, Multi, Puzzle, Wherigo, Letterbox Hybrid count toward this challenge. These caches types do not count: Webcam, Virtual Caches, Earthcaches,  Project A.P.E., Events.
  3. For multi stage caches the listed coordinates on the cache page will be used.
  4. Any finds count, including ones that have been found previously and/or archived caches.
  5. This cache cannot be used as one of the requirements


When logging this cache, please submit your qualifying cache list. The list can be added to your log, added to a public bookmark list, or any way you see fit. "Found It" logs not meeting the requirements are subject to deletion without notice. Please note if you add your list to your log, you may have to add an additional note in order to list all of your qualifying caches.

Cache is at the posted coordinates and is located within Spann Hammond park. This park has suffered lots of damage over the years, so there is no defined path to the cache. It will likely take some bushwhacking and lots of stepping over fallen trees and limbs. Please beware that during hunting season, you may see the occasional hunter in the area.

Please ensure that you qualify for this cache when logging. Otherwise your log might be deleted without notice.


Tip: To find a qualifying cache, just use the geocaching.com search with any latitude and the longitude minute you need - such as N 33 25.124 W 81 00.000. That will help you locate caches to use for the challenge.
