This cache was built by my kids and I to celebrate one of our favourite holidays, Easter. Each year we enjoy decorating Easter eggs (adding lemon juice to make the colours even brighter, and using a white crayon to draw designs before dipping them as the dye won't stick where the wax crayon drew) and having our family Easter egg hunt.
The cache itself is themed for Easter and is full of treats for the kids, including a full set of stickers for a FTF, and a themed logbook too. We worked to find a place to hide our decorated container that would be fun for the kids to find but still reasonably close to the trail with the area being naturalized. Please do hide it as well as we have, ensuring that there is enough cover for it to stay hidden from muggle eyes. Note that in winter it is accessible but may be much trickier to get to. For other seasons, terrain is reasonable other than the slight uphill being slippery, especially after rain: use the foliage to help.
Hoppy Easter!
