Scarrow Beck is a minor watercourse. It is a tributary of the River Bure. It's spring is in the village of Aylmerton, and it eventually merges with the River Bure in Ingworth after 7.7 miles. In Aldborough it was the water supply for the mill, which is now a private dwelling. There was a further watermill in Erpingham, which was recorded as the smallest mill in Norfolk, but this was demolished in 1965.
We are sure there used to be a cache here when we first started out, as this is one of our favourite walking/cycling routes. We often visit in the summer and eat our lunch while dangling our legs over the bridge and enjoying the sound of the bubbling beck. So thought it would nice to have another cache here again.
We have decided on the 3 terrain as there may be times after heavy rainful that you may get need wellies or similar or you may get wet feet!!!!!
But.... the cache is not in the Beck, and please be careful that you don't fall in!!!!
You are looking for a small camouflaged container.
Please be extra careful with geokids/geohounds
There is small area suitable for parking for one car, please don't block any gates. And take care on the narrow lanes, it is on a single track road.
Walkers and cyclists will have no parking issues!!!
The road is usually very quiet, but however you visit this cache please be aware of walkers, cyclists ,horseriders, and other vehicles-especially tractors. If intending to go to do the 'Leafy Grotto' cache a little further on and you are in a car, we would suggest leaving the car here and taking a short walk to the cache. Please put back exactly as found-thanks
Tweezers or similar will be needed and please BYOP
