This roundabout has had much significance in my life. For good or bad, my Dad was the quantity surveyor working on the roundabouts construction in the 1970s for Henry Boots. After its opening it was a popular spot for school children on hot summer days jumping off it (including my daft brother), who was poorly for a week having swallowed the Weavers contents, blimey they were different times back then.
The cache is located on the roundabout, but not to worry, being here is positively encouraged as benches are placed along here, however I'm not really sure you would want to sit here on this traffic dense area, 30 years ago maybe?
Congratulations to "rocky-dog" for F.T.F
