Torricelle
La contrada di Torricelle (in versione dialettale "Torresele") sembra prendere il nome dalle costruzioni turrite erette a difesa del territorio di cui oggi però non rimane più alcuna traccia. Con tale nome viene identificata la parte iniziale della lunga dorsale collinare situata tra il Chiavone Bianco e l'Astico che sale da Breganze (ponte Astico) verso Fara Vicentino. Nei documenti il nome "Torresele" compare gia a partire dal 1400.
La chiesetta si San Antonio
Partendo da località Crosara e procedendo verso Fara ci si imbatte nella piccola chiesetta di San Antonio. Gli abitanti delle contrade Maglio, Crosara e Torricelle nel 1913 si unirono per erigere un oratorio dedicato a San Antonio da Padova; l'opera si svolse sotto la guida dinamica ed intelligente di Mons. Gottardo Scotton, il più giovane dei celebri fratelli prelati breganzesi.
L'edificio era a buon punto quando scoppiò la prima Guerra Mondiale; durante quegli anni difficili esso servì anche come infermeria per i cavalli dell'esercito. La costruzione riprese al termine della guerra e nell'Aprile del 1919 fu celebrata la prima messa da Mons. Giovanni Prosdocimi.
In quell'occasione (9 e 10 Aprile) due lunghe processioni partirono rispettivamente da Breganze e da Fara per incontrarsi nei pressi della chiesetta.
Il 16 Ottobre 1932 con un'altra numerosissima processione fu portata e collocata la statua della Vergine di Lourdes. Da allora ogni anno il 13 di Giugno, giorno di S.Antonio, si celebra la Santa Messa. Una volta quando si facevano le "rogazioni" era d'obbligo fermarsi qui per la S. Messa.
Il restauro
Nel 1981 la chiesetta venne restaurata grazie ad un gruppo di volontari della contrada. I fondi necessari per le operazioni di restauro furono raccolti anche grazie all'organizzazione di una festa di contrada. A partire da tale data ogni anno si svolge la "Sagra di S.Antonio" nella seconda settimana di Giugno proprio nell'area adiacente alla chiesetta.
Torricelle
The district of Torricelle (in local dialect "Torresele") seems to take its name from the turreted buildings erected to defend the territory of which today, however, there is no longer any trace. With this name is identified the initial part of the long ridge located between Chiavone Bianco and Astico rising from Breganze (Astico bridge) towards Fara Vicentino. In the documents the name "Torresele" appears already since 1400.
The church of San Antonio
Starting from Crosara going to Fara you can find the small church of San Antonio. The inhabitants of the districts Maglio, Crosara Torricelle and in 1913 teamed up to build a chapel dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua; the work took place under the leadership of the dynamic and intelligent bishop Gottardo Scotton, the youngest of the famous brothers prelates of Breganze. The building was almost finished at the beginning of the First World War; during those difficult years it was used as infirmary for horses. Construction resumed at the end of the war and in April 1919 the first mass was celebrated by Mons. Prosdocimi. On that occasion, (9 and 10 April) two long processions departed respectively from Breganze and from Fara to meet up near the church. The October 16, 1932 with another procession with a lot of people was brought the statue of the Virgin of Lourdes. Since then every year on June 13, the day of St. Anthony, is celebrated Mass. Once a time when there were the "Rogazioni"it was a must to stop here for the Mass.
Restoration
In 1981 the church was restored by a group of volunteers of the district. The necessary funds for the restoration works were collected thanks to the organization of a small district festival. From that date every year there is the "Sagra di San Antonio" in the second week of June, just in the area adjacent to the church.
