Welcome to the Ramanessin Greenway. This section of the trail closely follows the Ramanessin Brook on property owned by Holmdel Township. The beginning section of this trail was built in 1998 by local volunteers and Boy Scouts. Over the years, benches and interpretive signs were added.
The cache is hidden off the Ramanessin Trail in the Ramanessin (southern) section of Holmdel Park. The trail connects to Bayonet Farm and across Roberts Road to the main section of Holmdel Park.
Recommended parking is at the Ramanessin Greenway trailhead on Middletown Rd opposite McCampbell Rd. You'll have to walk a little further from the trailhead for this one, but take the time to enjoy the sights and read the signs along the way. And don't worry, he's a friendly troll.
