The road was completely flooded out when I hid this cache. Not deep in the middle, but along the sides....you could launch a kayak in there! If this shimmering mirage of water is still there, at its most shallow in the middle where I crossed, it came up past my ankle bones on my (waterproof) hiking boots. Rolled up my pants and stomped on through. Pop out of your vehicle and have a look if you plan to drive through. ATV's you'll get a good car wash but you'll be fine in the centre.
Oddly enough, as far as I can remember this whole area is more of a meadow in the summertime. There was cascades of water loudly running down the tire ruts on the hills today though lol.
Cache is a lock n' lock hidden well out of the flood zone...you might have to plunge through the deep ditch if you don't want to wait for a good crossing up further...you're a cacher so I know what route you'll probably choose!
