Welcome to the Perkins Community Garden inside of Ball Perkins Park. I found this area while I was searching for locations to place caches for the Cold Cache Crew. After they were archived, I searched for a spot in this park to place my first letterbox cache.
Before I get into the details, I want to warn you that protection from thorns is a MUST! I made this terrain rating a little higher because of the potential for the changing conditions of the terrain and the amount of thorny plants you may encounter. If you're looking for this after it has rained a decent amount, boots may be a good idea.
You'll start your adventure out in the parking area of the garden, which is at the posted coords. Take a stroll along the outside of the gates of the garden to the northwestern-most point of the garden. I would suggest going up the eastern side of the gates. Once you get to the northwest corner, stand with your back to the corner post. Shuffle two steps to your right. As you look to your left by about 30 degrees, you will see a large 4-trunk tree.
Walk over to the tree and stand on the north side of the tree and face to the north. Walk approximately 120 ft. to the north. You will come upon a tree that looks pretty weird with a decent-sized branch that is sitting horizontally about four feet off of the ground on top of what looks like a lot of branches surrounding the bottom of the trunk.

On the north side of this tree at the base you will find the prize you are looking for.
Remember, this is a letterbox cache, so please don't take the stamp. Please re-hide the cache like you found it. Thank you for giving this cache a shot! Walk safe and keep an eye on your surroundings.
