Spirit Quest - Paupers Cemetery.
The cache is located inside the abandoned cemetery, but away from any known graves. As with any cemetery cache please be respectful of the grounds, and any possible visitors that might not understand what we are doing. The cache is NOT near any known graves.
There is very little information that I could find on this cemetery, I wasn't even able to figure out when it was active. There are very few visible tombstones in the cemetery, but as you walk around you will notice depressions in the ground, indicating that there are many unmarked burials here.
Photo of Paupers Cemetery, one of the few stones still visible, if you look closely on the left side of the photo you can see the back side of the wood fence from the Oakhill Cemetery. On the right side of the photo beyond the far tree line you can see the Tacoma cemetery, which is separated by a chain link fence.

Finding the cemetery and the cache. Your GPS may direct you to drive into the Oak Hill Cemetery. That is NOT where you want to be. Using the parking coordinate should put you on South Junett street near the intersection with 51st street. From there you will park you car and follow your GPS into the cemetery and then to the cache. There are several areas along Junett street where you can enter the old cemetery, some spots are bigger than others, the most obvious from the parking is tight squeeze passed the only part of the fence still in one piece, gate. ( recently in 2018 there has been some fence repair done, which limits the areas you can get into the cemetery from, but it's still ok to slip passed the gate on foot to get into the cemetery) you are headed into the old dilapidated cemetery. If you find yourself in the Oakhill Cemetery or the Tacoma Cemetery your in the wrong spot. The one your looking for is unkempt, dilapidated cemetery that looks more like a sloped field from the street.
While there are no posted hours, and the cemetery was abandoned long ago I ask that the cacher only search for this cache during daylight hours out of respect for the cemetery and the nearby residences. While you are here please take your time and look around, and enjoy what history you can see here, but remember to be respectful, even though there are not a lot of marked graves there maybe a lot of folks resting there. Since the cemetery has been inactive for at least 75 years, it is unlikely that you will run into any mourners, but please be respectful of the grounds and any possible visitors that might not understand what we are doing. The cache is NOT located near any known graves, but it is inside the cemetery. Also remember that this cemetery has to be accessed from Junett Street.
Congratulations goes to __________ for the First to Find!!!!!
