We had another cache very close to here, when it was allowed to be there.
Times change, rules and guidelines change, and it needed to move.
We found the tourists like the area as it is close to the steam ride, or the ship that would take you for a daily cruise to the west coast, or a walk to the nearby Quay. That is pronounced Key. Why? Just because the area near water where shops and things are - well, is frequently pronounced that way. It really is Alberni Harbour Quay - or AHQ for short.
The locals like the spot because parking is good in the very nearby parking lots, it's good to fill a calendar, it's good to bring the kids for a quick find, and for everyone it is another happy face in your find book.
This is a very simple find. It's not hard to find, not far to walk, not filled with stuff you want because you left your trading swag in your other jacket pocket. It is just here. Container, log book and hopefully the pencil is still there when you find it - BUT better bring you own writing thing as no signature = no find for you!
This might be 'just another find' for you , but for some folks, or kids, it might be their first find so we ask that you please do not spoil their fun with spoiler logs or photos. We all thank you for that, for sure.
