Welcome to the Door County Coastal Byway and discover the true spirit of Door County. This cache is one of the Ridges/Door County Coastal Byway Nature Tour series, being developed with the cooperation and help of the Ridges Sanctuary and the DCCB scenic corridor.
The cache is hidden in a small Pelican water tight container and can be found near the Egg Harbor DCCB Kiosk. Small and appropriate trading items are encoraged and should reflect the spirit of the cache. Make sure the cover clicks tight when closing.
When you find the cache, you will discover a code word/s attached to the inside cover of the cache. Although not required to log the cache, a visit to the Ridges Nature Center ( N 45* 04.064 W 087* 07.453) )with the code word/s of the current Ridges/DCCB Nature Tour caches will get you a nice little prize if you have code words for four or more nature tour caches.
Please do not enter the code words in your cache find logs. If you have time read some of the interesting facts about the Village of Egg Harbor on the nearby Door County Coastal Byways Kiosk. The story of sunsets and caves and how Egg Harbor got its name is fascinating. Look forward to a number of other Ridges/DCCB Nature tour caches in the following communities throughout Door County: Northport, Ellison Bay, Sister Bay, Fish Creek, Jacksonport, Liberty Grove, and Sturgeon Bay.
