This series of caches are placed along the Eglish Heritage Trail and are designed to highlight the history of the area and the wonderful work of the Eglish Historical Society who are responsible for the historical information included below.
11 Derrylatinee School. Derrylatinee National and Public Elementary School opened in 1856 until 1939. Almost nothing is left of the original school apart from a plaque erected by past pupils and friends in 1989.
The cache is a 50mm cylinder hidden from view and is at the location of the original national school. Parking is just beyond the bridge.
