Geocache Description:

5 Senses Trail connects the Bird Ceek camp ground with the bike trail. Take some time to read the plaques maybe go over them with your kids and wake them to the wonders of the woods :) at the connect point we've hidden a camoed bison. Please respect privacy of campers nearby. & please replace camo just as found. Placed under Chugach Park permit 15-KA-1994. $5 parking fee if you stay longer than 30 min...Congrats for co-FTF to farmergang and 907geogirl!

Bird Creek campground is located south of Anchorage at Bird Creek. The campground offers experiences ranging from fishing, hiking, whale watching, wildlife viewing, and spectacular sunsets. All have wooded sites with fire rings and picnic tables, water and latrines. In season, campground hosts offer assistance and answer questions about the area. Firewood is often available near the host's site for a small fee. ADA facilities & handicap access public use cabin (non-ADA cabin at this end of park). Day use area and public use cabins are available year-round. Also great place to watch the Boretide come in. 13.5 miles of paved bike trail (bike or ski) all the way to Girdwood is a bonus.

This Park has newly renovated facilities that are beautiful and well planned out. & Anchorage residents should take care of the resources and be proud to show them to visitors. :-) Happy Caching!
