Not all caches in the ONC are immediately off Old Nashville Highway, but they are along the route, maybe at a side road or pull-off area. They are all within a few hundred feet of Old Nashville Highway.
This just for fun series is not a power run, not a puzzle, you aren’t required to get so-so many of them or find them in any particular order. Most importantly, they’re not meant for leap-frogging. They're all unique to their hiding spots. CamperJohn and I hatched this idea from an "Old Nash Cache" I had put out in the beginning. Later, he followed with two more along ONH using the same name set; and we saw that it was good. Depending on how you plot it out, the Old Nashville Highway route is approximately 14 driving miles, but again, it is not a power run. There’s typically plenty of room to pull off, but please be careful when you pull back out. Stealth is important as always.
This particular cache is just mere feet away from the old original roadbed. In fact, the parking area is part of the old roadbed. I'm not sure, but this small area may be the last remaining segment of Old Nashville Highway (the original US41) roadbed.
With this cache, you do have permission to park long enough to find and log it. You will not have to wander across any streets, cross any fences, or encroach any private property. With this as with all caches, please hide back like you found it. Many thanks to Judy at the campground for her permission in placing this cache adjacent to her property.
Above all, have fun and please be careful. As always, please BYOP.
