Geocache Description:

Hong Kong Gold Coast (Chinese: 香港黃金海岸) is served by the Castle Peak Road, near Castle Peak Bay, in So Kwun Wat, Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong and was developed in the early 1990's. There is a large residential development (Phase 1 & 2), a resort hotel, a shopping mall, a yacht and country club, a marina and a beach where at the east end the circular Golden Dolphin Square (!!!) can be found.

Number 4 in the Gold Coast "8" Series - On the opposite side from the Hong Kong Gold Coast Marina, and near to the exercise bars a concrete ramp heads down to the east end of Golden Beach. The rocky surroundings are home to many Lizards who guard the Cache. The one we saw whist placing this cache was actually the "Long Tailed Skink". Tread quietly and you may see them!

Beware of the "Sino" Security Muggles through most of the Geocaches in this "Gold Coast "8" Series" as they patrol & guard the Gold Coast with zero tolerance policy!

Directions

Take MTR bus route No. K51 at Siu Hong Station (West Rail Line), or K53 at Tuen Mun Station (West Rail Line), or KMB route No. 52X, 53, 61M, 252B, 261B or 962, or minibus running between Jordan and Yuen Long. If you are driving then you can park at the Gold Coast Marina (Hourly parking) or you can drive up the road and use the cheaper parking meters outside the Gold Coast Hotel.  Cyclists are a plenty in this area as well, but not welcomed on the Beach or footpath to the Golden Dolphins!
