This series of caches are placed along the Eglish Heritage Trail and are designed to highlight the history of the area and the wonderful work of the Eglish Historical Society who are responsible for the historical information included below.
33 Benburb Famine Distribution Centre : A 'porridge house' was set up here by the Lord Powerscourt during the time of the Great Famine (1845-1848).
The cache is a nano location close to the porridge house. The house is just passed the shop around the corner. There is a plaque above the door. Stealth is essential as its a muggle rich location.
