San Benito is nestled in the tip of South Texas near the center of the lower Rio Grande Valley, one of the most ecologically diverse areas in North America. This community is know as the Resaca City, so dubbed in the recognition of the pictureesque waterwaywhich winds through the rich historic community.The resaca is fed by the Rio Grande and serves as the primary irrigation, residential and commercial water delivery system for the city and outlying areas.
