Slattadale Sleuth #1 Traditional Cache

The walk along the Tollie Path from Poolewe to Slattadale (or visa versa!) passes through some of the most magnificent scenery. A good path winds its way up and down this beautiful part of Wester Ross, passing small lochs and with wonderful views across Loch Maree and its islands - if the weather is on your side! You can attempt this cache (one of several planned along this 5mile route) from either the Poolewe direction or from the Slattadale direction.
A well metalled pathway with some quite steep climbs but with stunning views to Loch Ewe, Loch Maree and all the mountains inbetween. The 5 mile route passes through ravines, alongside waterfalls and small lochs, with plenty of handy rocks along the way to sit and take in the views. The path is much boggier towards the Slattadale end, and would suggest you wear good waterproofs for this walk. This cache is approximately 3 km from the carpark at the Poolewe end and approx 5 km from the Slattadale end. The TB for the FTF has travelled here from Easter Island in the Pacific - very appropriate as this cache was hidden on Easter Saturday 2015!
