I have very fond memories of Chinatown. My Father is a Chinese immigrant having moved to Canada by boat when he was 5. He spent some time living at the Chinese Freemasons nearby, and I have great memories of coming to Chinatown for tea and Dim Sum as a kid. I still get nostalgic from the smells and signage here. It doesn't seem as vibrant as it did in the 80's and early 90's, but it also doesn't feel as much like an outsider as a Canadian of part Chinese descent anymore either. How the times change!
