Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Ebenezer Geo-Quest!

The purpose of the Ebenezer Geo-Quest (or EG-Q) is to show you some of the sights, history and scenery of this secluded part of the Hawkesbury.

This is one in a series of EG-Q caches; hope you enjoy the rural setting.

On the opposite side of the road to the location of this cache lies the ruin of an early settler’s cottage.

After a bushfire destroyed the local school in 1901, teacher Walter King arranged for temporary rental of the front two rooms of this settler’s cottage. It was rented for one pound per week until the school resumed in 1902 with an enrolment of 27 pupils.

For the EG-Q Final Puzzle, make a note of the number of chimneys on the cottage.

Note: Bring your own pen/pencil to sign the log.
