In the heart of New Bedford lies the former nursery of Allen C. Haskell: six acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, historic buildings, and more than half an acre of greenhouse space. With this location and array of elements, Allen C. Haskell Public Gardens provides an unrivaled opportunity for The Trustees of Reservations to save precious urban green space and to engage South Coast communities through horticulture, recreation and education.
The public gardens host a traditional New England style common, beautifully designed historic gardens, one of the oldest homes in New Bedford, and will soon have a variety of discovery-based family elements for children to interact with their natural world.
I had to move the container from the original location. Please put the container back EXACTLY where you found it! It could be found in the winter depending on how many inches of snow on the ground.
