Geocache Description:

A colorful fascinating roadside stop that will give one a brief taste of the geo thermal wonders that lie ahead in Yellowstone. The HOT is agua caliente. The ORANGE is a run-off channel colored by algae of carotenoid pigments. The SLIDE is ... well ... if you don't watch your step, you may end up on a slide into the Yellowstone River. Tread carefully ...

A nearby roadside picnic area provides the best parking spot. If you choose to pull off the highway near the cache site be careful crossing the road.  The nearby white cross indicates a highway fatality,  If you have little young-uns in tow be aware that the final approach to the cache requires some very careful steps. The water is HOT. Stick your finger in with caution. Enjoy this very unique spot !
