This cache has been placed to remember my daughter's first spring break. After placing this newest hide of mine I am loading her up to take a caching road trip all the way to Kansas. Once there we will visit my brother and meet his new babies. We will of course give lots of hugs that are over due by a couple of years! After we leave him we will be on our way to Mingo to grab the oldest active geocache in the world. Not a bad way for a kiddo to start the time honored tradition of awesome Spring Break Trips, right!?!
As you walk to this cache remember that the first time I walked here I did so knowing I was about to embark on a journey with my favorite caching partner. I hope for it to be a once in a lifetime adventure that neither of us will ever forget. Today I introduce a new geocache to the world. Tomorrow we find one of the caches that started it all. She won't be able to hunt this one until learning some history about this great game we have come to love so much. Once we are back I will bring her to this spot, and only then will she know that mommy took a couple seconds out of a busy weekend to have a cache in place to remember our special journey.
