Geocache Description:

In the fall of 2012, a resident approached the Township of Russell Council asking for support in the construction of an off-leash municipal dog park. Following the presentation, Council agreed to support this community initiative by allowing the use of a vacant property for the proposed park. A fundraising campaign was raised and the necessary funds was achieve to complete this project.

A 2.2 acres municipal dog park that will be located at 1719 Ste-Catherine in Embrun, half way between the villages of Embrun and Russell, beside the New York Central Trail and the water treatment plant. However the container is not I repeate is not at the dog park but a walking distance.
