The cache is near a little cemetery along Highway 84. The headstone is for Clara Gnewuch who died in 1886 before she was 2 years old. Family members say there are probably two more little ones buried in unmarked graves near Clara. The abandoned ruins of the homestead are still visible in the valley.
Highway 84 was planned to go right through the grave until the burial was discovered. The stone had fallen over into the tall grass. Some adjustments were made and the grave was left undisturbed. There is a slight curvature in the road which was done for Baby Clara. Family members had the stone reset and put the fence around the site.
