ACT Fire & Rescue Traditional Cache

Welcome to the new South Tuggeranong Fire and Rescue Station. This state of the art station, costing $17m was opened in March 2015 and replaces the smaller Fire Station in the Tuggeranong Town Centre. It opens directly onto the round about with flashing lights and presumably sirens which is an Australian first.

Access to the cache is from behind the Fire Station, on the reserve at the base of Tuggeranong Hill, adding to many of the great caches that make exploring this area even richer. There is an access path down to the cache from Holloway Street in Calwell, rather than trying to access via Tharwa Drive .
