This cache was placed to commemorate a lovely weekend camping and hiking in the area during the Easter 2015 long weekend.
We stayed here several nights toasting marshmallows on the open fire and spent a couple of days hiking, and of course GeoCaching, in the nearby Cathedral Range National Park, a must see if you are in the area and have a few hours for a rewarding hike. The Keppel Creek is a beautiful, quiet and free bush camp ground in the state forest, located not far from the Keppel Creek itself. The camp doesn’t have any showers (or toilets for that matter), but the stream proved “refreshing” place to wash away the smoke and dust from the campers. We hope that when you’ve found this cache that you will sit awhile and relax in this beautiful little spot. The cache is a 200ml systema container and contains a trackable is in the cache for the FTF. Please take care to replace securely, complete with camouflage Thanks for visiting out cache! :)
