EARLISH: CAMAS BEAG
A visit to a remote part of Skye, visible only from the vicinity of Uig. A delightful spot.
Camas Beag is a remote bay, south of Uig, on the west coast of the Trotternish peninsula. Few people will have visited this bay, and it can be a perfect place for a picnic.
Turn off the main road at Earlish, and follow a branching road to and over a crossroads. Where this shortly swings right towards a farm, a footpath continues through a kissing-gate, and leads along the edge of rough pasture to another gate, from which a steep path descends, bringing the bay into view. The walk is about 800m in each direction.
