UIG VIEWPOINT
A great walk to a fabulous viewpoint
Uig is the main ferry link with the Outer Hebrides, and this cache is located close by a large cairn that gives an outstanding view over Uig Bay. There is an excellent view northwards, too, along the coast and as far as the Outer Hebrides.
From the hairpin bend on the Staffin road above Uig (Idrigill), a sign path (Ceum) leads up to the viewpoint, a walk of about 800m in each direction.
