Geocache Description:

Join us for a beach clean-up on Saturday, April 25, 2015 between 7:00 and 9:00 AM.  Bring your own bag, or one will be provided.  Fill a bag with trash for this CITO event.  Trackables will be traded.

Join us for a beach clean-up on Saturday, April 25, 2015.  Madeira Beach, Florida is a beautiful beach community that enjoys sharing it's beaches.  We pride ourselves on our pristine white sand, and emerald blue water.  With the upcoming turtle nesting season, we need to ensure that our beaches are ready!  Bring your own bag, bucket, and/or gloves, or bags will be provided.  We will meet early at 7:00 and work no later than 9:00 AM.  We want to clean up and be out of the way before the weekend crowd shows up.  You will have ample time to enjoy local restaurants for a late breakfast, or find other caches in our beautiful town.

Important parking information:  Beach parking is $1.50 per hour.  Pay at the pay station (cash, credit, or debit) and display the receipt face up on your dash board.  Back-in parking is prohibited.  Parking is strictly enforced, especially on the weekends.

Restrooms are located in the parking lot.

Wear sunscreen.

If you want to bring any food or beverage, please understand that glass is not permitted on the beach.

Dogs are not permitted on the beach.

If it rains, this CITO event will still be held.  Bring a rain jacket and a hat and prepare our beaches for the turtles.

Please post "Will Attend" if you plan to attend this CITO event.

Keep in mind that you will be walking in sand, making this a terrain difficulty of 2. Sandals or flip-flops might be better than sneakers. Updated info as of 4/23: The name of the park is Pinellas County: Madeira Beach Access. When you park, take note of your space number before going to the pay station. Make sure your receipt is face up on your dashboard. Parking is $1/hour and I recommend paying with cash, although credit/debit is accepted. Then find me in a blue hatchback at or near space #14. Sign in, drop off any TBs, and begin CITO! Yippee! I will have bags and gloves. To receive credit for this event, bring me your bags of CITO. The first to return with filled bags will earn a prize!
