The remains of a tree in the field downhill from the cache site is that of a 180+ year old Bur Oak tree. It has been standing longer than the Wisconsin Territory. THAT TREE is the subject of a photography book by Mark Hirsch, which has been featured by CBS News Sunday Morning, NBC News, NPR, The Sierra Club, Huffington Post, The Guardian, Le Monde, Chicago Tribune, Denver Post, San Francisco Chronicle, and many more.
On August 10, 2020 That Tree was blown down in a derecho which caused damage throughout the Midwest. Although That Tree is no longer standing, the beautiful photographs of it will last forever.
