Load up your GPS receiver and camping gear, invite your family and friends to join the North Dakota GeoCaching Association for a fun filled weekend of Camping and Caching at Lake Metigoshe State Park, located approximately 14 miles northeast of Bottineau, ND, along the U.S./Canadian border. Make sure to bring your Passport or Passcard in order to cache in Canada.
The events will be held July 10 (
GC5QYEY), July 11 (
GC5QYEZ), and July 12 (
GC5QYF3). Geocachers and non-geocachers are are welcome to spend one or more days caching and camping.
In order to participate in the event(s), the following state park fees will apply.
Required Vehicle Entrance fee:
$5.00 per day per vehicle or $25.00 annual permit that is good at all North Dakota State Parks.
Optional Per Site Camping Fee:
$25.00 per night campsite with electricity and water.
$20.00 per night campsite with electricity.
$17.00 per night campsite without electricity.
Please bring a dish to share at the pot luck dinner.
The meat (hot dogs and bratwursts), buns, and condiments will be provided by the NDGCA.
A freewill offering to cover the cost of the meat, buns, and condiments is appreciated. Any excess proceeds will go to the NDGCA to fund future activities.
