Celebrating 15 Years of Geocaching Event
Come and join us for breakfast for our Celebrating 15 Years of Geocaching Event. We will be holding the breakfast event at Grandma's Kitchen in Albert Lea, MN on Saturday morning, May 2, 2015, at 9:00-11:00.
Grandma's Kitchen is opening early just for us. So if you plan to eat, we need to know a head count for them no later than Friday, May 1 by noon.
The first documented placement of a GPS-located cache took place on May 3, 2000. By May 6, 2000, it had been found twice and logged once. A geocache and plaque called the Original Stash Tribute Plaque now sit at the site.
So come and join us on this special day for great conversation and breakfast too! For bragging rights, there will be a drawing for 3, yes that is 3, FTF's. :-) Also, bring your trackables for exchanging. If you would like to bring extra film canisters or any other cache containers for trading, we will have that available also.
So mark this on your calendar. A great way to meet up with old friends and to make some new ones too. And don't forget, we get a digital souvenir for logging an attend from geocaching.com. Please log your will attend early so we can plan accordingly with Grandmas Kitchen. Thanks!
