A cache on what might be the world's widest footpath?
This is a bit too far for a 'cache & dash' but it's a good excuse for a pleasant & flat walk around a now disused RAF aerodrome, which is near to St David’s. Most of the available paths are wheelchair friendly. The airfield was a base for Halifax heavy bombers, during WWII. All of the buildings (with one possible exception) have long been demolished but the concrete runways, taxiways and dispersals are still more or less intact. This is very evident from the Google Earth view of the station. We think that the place has a very atmospheric, almost spooky feel about it.
