We will meet between 10:00 - 10:30 am in the El Portal del Yunque parking lot to begin the event from there. The event will last until park closure at 5:00 pm. We will search for several caches along the way while picking up trash and litter found on the trails. CITO bags and gloves will be provided at the meeting point. We will continue down the Big Tree trail towards the La Mina Waterfall and then continue towards Baño Grande through the La Mina trail.
In this CITO event, the Webelos scouts will participate from two lectures where they will learn about Geocaching and the El Yunque Rainforest history and conservation. The scouts will also have the opportunity to practice the "Leave No Trace" philosophy and work with the Scout Conservation Award.
All geocachers are welcome to join our boys scouts in this cleaning effort while enjoying the marvels that one of our most visited nature park reserves has to offer.
